Smiley Baby - Live

Please excuse the "baby voice" as Benjamin responds to it.

Smiley Baby

Benjamin has to be the happiest baby we ever had. He's constantly smiling and he even has a little laugh with which he greets me from time to time.

Lazy Blogger

I looked at the blog today and I could not believe that it has been two weeks since I last wrote. I accepted a position with the Civil Division of the Clark County District Attorney's Office. I will be acting as General Counsel for UMC, and I start on January 22nd. Thus, I have been extremely busy trying to finish up at work, which I have learned is next to impossible. It seems that the more that I do, the more work that I create. It is hard realizing that at some point, I just have to pick up my stuff and walk away. Change is not always easy, but I am looking forward to being able to spend more time with my wife and five kids.

Now that we have church services in the morning, we can turn to more important things in the afternoon, like making muffins. As usual, Angelina was right in the middle of things.

Ordinarily, Josh's face is not quite so lopsided. However, Josh was enjoying his Sunday afternoon with bubblegum.

Too sweet!

Joseph's Polar Express Birthday Party

Allyse, the Conductor, took the tickets at the front door.

Joseph and the other children built small train sets.

Ethan and Corbin worked on their trains, too.

After enjoying hot chocolate, Julene read the The Polar Express to the children.

The highlight of the party was a visit from Santa Claus.

Angelina decided that Santa was okay.

Allyse was so happy that she could hardly contain herself.

Josh is almost big enough to have Santa sit on his lap.

Benjamin didn't know what was happening, but at least he didn't get upset
when the man in the big red suit and the funny beard held him.

Julene seemed to have at least as much fun as anyone at the party.

No birthday of Joseph's would be complete without Lego.

Reflection

I was posting this morning and saw a picture waiting across the table from me.

Happy 7th Birthday, Joseph!

Today is Joseph's 7th birthday.
He was so excited that he woke up at 6:00 a.m.

Joseph seemed most excited to receive a Harry Potter robe and glasses.

This was the final haul, at least until the Polar Express birthday party on Saturday.
